The quality of web hosting products consists of many elements. One of them is the network that is being used. The network is the physical connection of the server with the internet. We are not just talking about cables, but also about routers, switches, peers and transit providers.
SuperRacks wants to have as much control over those elements as possible. That is the reason that we run our own! So, we do not buy ip connectivity from other network maintainers, but we run our own routers, switches and choose our own connection to the internet. A network is known under its AS (autonomous system), and for SuperRacks that is AS35090.
The uplinks that we have chosen, make us present on both AMS-IX as NL-IX (the main exchanges in the Netherlands), the BNIX (Belgium), DE-CIX (Germany) and give us access to the following transit providers:

Our connectivity is setup in a redundant manner. This means that if one transit provider looses connectivity, the destination is reacheable through another. For our core services (routing, switching) we use Cisco equipment, proven to be top notch for many years.
