What does it mean to rent a dedicated server?
A dedicated server is a server that is rented but will remain our property. You will be able to use the server to the fullest, with full administrator rights. This means you alone are the administrator who is responsible for the functionality of the server. Unless you purchase additional server management from us, we will not manage the server in any way. We will deliver you the use of a quality server with an operating system installed. The server is always delivered with hardware support. So, if something physical brakes (harddisk, cpu, motherboard, power supply), we will fix it or supply you with an alternative. We will not restore data for you if that has been lost as result of this failure. Please, always make sure you have backups available. If you want to be able to reboot the server 24/7, we strongly recommend you to add a switched PDU port to your package.
In addition to a dedicated server, you can order server management (patches, updates etc), backup services (on a remote system), kvm over ip (so you can reinstall yourself), software licenses (operating systems, applications) and many more. In fact, if you have no knowledge of server management at all, you can hire us to do so. Naturally, these services are custom made always. So contact us for more information or a quote.
